Conservative restoration utilizing titanium pins

This upper right second  bicuspid is asymptomatic. The radiograph shows no obvious pathology and the canals are not visible. It’s important to discuss the possibility of this tooth needing endodontic therapy in the future although I don’t believe this is likely. Following the administration of local anesthesia (topical plus septocaine) I placed two small titanium pins  and a composite core. A temporary crown was then fabricated. Though the shade selection was too white (my dental assistant recently had cataract surgery, so  I guess her vision was impaired… but of course I am responsible and since it’s only a temporary it’s not an issue).

Utilization of high powered lenses is always an advantage.
