Lack of planning results in poor aesthetics

lack-of-planning

This emergency patient came to me after his  four unit porcelain prosthesis had dislodged. It had been cemented with temporary cement. He had a closed bite with no overjet and I believe this was part of the reason (occlusal trauma) that the bridge loosed (breaking of the cement seal).

This is not any easy case but the poor aesthetic result I believe is due to a lack of planning prior to implant placement. Creation of papilla and emergence profiles is important especially with a patient like this with a high smile line. The lack of individuality of the lateral incisors does not contribute to a pleasing smile.

So the lesson here is think first, plan well and execute properly.
